Planning an Article

Before you write an article, how do you plan? What do you do to prepare to help yourself write a successful article? Planning your article is one of the first and most important things you can do. While it’s great to jump head-long into a great idea, not everyone can start that way. And even if you can write like this, it’s still important to have a plan so you can ensure every article is coming out the best it can be and with all the components needed to be successful.

Here are some tips from a pro on what to do:

  1. Brainstorm your idea
  2. Break your main idea into different parts
  3. If each part is going to be too long, consider breaking it up into more than one article
  4. Outline the article with a main idea, body, supporting facts and conclusion
  5. Start fleshing out your outline to a completed article.

These are very simple steps for you to follow with each and article that you write. Some people find it helpful to put their main idea or purpose at the top while writing. This helps you remain on target with the focus on your article. If anything starts to stray from that focus, you know you need to cut it or save it for another article altogether.

Often writers try to put too many thoughts in one article and it becomes a cluttered, unfocused mess that is hard to complete. When you learn to focus your ideas and use the above guidelines, you can write more quality articles in lesser time.

This is the best way to keep a continued flow of articles streaming through your sites and to produce daily content without pulling your hair out.
